I killed a guy with M4 yeaterday with mosin shot in the head, i ran and looted him took his M4 (In to my hands) i looted few houses and Logged Out, Today i logged in had my M4 in a weird spot not in my hands, then i took axe killed zombie i looked at my inventory it was gone looked everywhere and now its gone :c.

when you are carrying two rifles, then switch to any other weapon, the one not in a weapon slot is always dropped on the ground. odds are that after you failed to find it, it despawned.
