Ability to use cooking pots as storage inside inventory (attached to stove unit)
New, WishlistPublic

Description

While organizing my inventory, I came across an interesting glitch in where you can fill a cooking pot with 5 of any type of single-slot items, as opposed to just meats collected off animals. Further, I found this storage could be improved by placing said fully loaded pot onto a stove in my inventory. With two stoves in your inventory you increase carry capacity exponentially.

I currently found that you can fill yellow storage boxes with the stoves, top the stoves off with a full pot and create a box that can hold 15 single-slot items. Using a yellow box in the yellow box with a stove taking the last two slot would, in theory, create an infinite bag of single-slot item holding.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Inventory must full w/ stove empty and in your inventory.

2)Take a cooking pot into hands.

3)Pick up more items.

4)When full, place pot on top of stove

5)Rinse and repeat

This will work for as many stoves as you can carry.

Additional Information

Once the pot has been placed on the stove, the stove becomes immovable until the pot is removed from the unit. This is done by inspecting the contents of the stove and dragging the pot off the stove top (at which point it will either move to empty inventory slots or drop to the ground [still containing its juicy loot goodies]).

Items placed inside pots will remain there even if you clear space in your inventory. You need to manually remove items from the pots.

Items in pots inside the inventory don't register on the quick select num line. This means if you put your compass in the pot, you can no longer use it to navigate.

In real life you would do this, store stuff in pots and pans like food, so why not leave it as is but as long as its only food not to be able to put in random things like a compass into the pot.
