If you have a fireaxe in your hands, not raised, and press f9 to cut throat taunt, you lay prone "reload" the axe, stand up holding the axe sideways in front of you and then do the cut throat animation.

Axe still works after, it just breaks how you hold it until you un-equip and re-equip it.
