DayZ crashing with repeated mouse inputs
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hey friend. So, the WEIRDEST thing. I recently got a new PC, and followed Steams instructions on how to transfer my games. I don't know if it's important, but I also got a new mouse and keyboard at the same time. It is a robust 4070 machine. All drivers (including graphics) are up to date. Anyway, any time I launch DayZ, when I provide repeated mouse clicks (for instance, Zombie fight), the game just crashes. Before it crashes, sometimes my Windows task bar flashes, and sometimes, the spinning blue wheel briefly flashes.

The problem remains, and it's only with DayZ. I have played theHunter and Fortnite and it's ran great. The problem...is I only like DayZ. :)

Game Version = 1.24

I think I have attached the appropriate files from multiple crashes. Any help would be appreciated. I haven't been able to play for over a week. I think I've tried everything I know how to do.

Hello CamelCase.
It appears that you have not uploaded the crash dump files? Also if you do not press the mouse button, does it still eventually crash when navigating in menu etc?

Hey Geez. Nope, if I am just running around...not using the mouse, it won't crash. And I uploaded every file included in the AppData\Local\DayZ folder. Can you see the error I'm getting? 0xCFFFFFFF -Status_Application_Hang. I don't see any other files in that folder other than what I uploaded. Just tried another USB input, same thing. I don't know...I bought this PC specifically for playing DayZ...and I can't get it to work....in spite of other games working. Played Fortnite last night, max setting, getting 120FPS. Zero issues.

Hey Geez, is this the file you're looking for?

Hey Geez, is this the file you're looking for?

Unfortunately I do not see any file uploaded anywhere? are you sure you are uploading it to the ticket/comment?

Sorry about that. Files uploaded.

Hello CamelCase.
The system settings dmp does not appear to be any dump file that DayZ uses or produces. The second archive has RPT files but they do not mention any crash occurring.
Are you sure you are saving the archive correctly by clicking "Show details and prepare report" when the crash occurs?
If there is no error popup and the game freezes/shuts down and does not create any dump files, then unfortunately there is nothing for us to go on as we need the game mdmp to analyse the possible cause. Also if the problem is occurring as described, We suggest to check your drivers and software to make sure everything is up to date and nothing is corrupted.

Hey Geez. So, I mentioned the error I was getting previously. The files generated where done so by clicking "Show Files and Prepare Report".
I also mentioned that I updated my drivers and software.

Okay, seems like I'm out of luck. 900 hours has been fun. Think I'll move on.

I've uninstalled. Please consider this matter closed. Thanks for your attempt at assistance.
