Dear DayZ Devs.
We have found an issue where DayZ is unreliable with lower MTU scenarios.
We are a hosting provider that gets DDoS protection from a leading company that they offer us (Tunnel) for our data center so we can use their DDoS protection. We are forced to have a **MAX MTU of 1476**.
Even with this MTU, some players are unable to join due to IP fragmentation. Every time fragmentation happens, DayZ cannot process it. Probably an engine issue.
We have tested with full servers using our VLAN system where MTU is locked at 1400, and 2/4 people can't join if MTU is 1400.
**What does happen?**
# Players freeze (in-game) when packets get fragmented.
# Players get disconnected when packets get fragmented.
# Players cannot join. This was easily spotted using Wireshark on the server and the router.
# This as well tested in plenty of networks.
I don't know what can be done, but DayZ is the only game that seems to have this issue.
I kindly ask for this to be looked at to see if DayZ can perform better on lower MTU scenarios like other games such as Rust.
