This will lead to things like tanks becoming stuck and the whole squad being unable to move, especially once other tanks in the squad/platoon lose sight and begin to ask your position. The commander though will sometimes continue to move around, and sometimes they become unresponisve even in high command. I believe it's as if the squad leader is trying waiting for the others in his group trying to regroup into formation, but sometimes they are not even physically stuck.
