Want to say this almost pushed me to believe the game is a waste of time but unless this happens again I'll continue to enjoy the game and hope next time I'm respectably geared I don't get dominated by truly not survivable waves of zombies that seemed to appear at a whin to literally cheat me out of the 4-5 hours I played today; getting headshot sniped from a distant treeline doesn't even compare, at least thats reasonable. In the spirit of maybe improving the game, the disappointment and dismay I felt this is very long. Switched server to NY 55 something, spawned slightly northwest of Dobroe close to the road, I'm full pre military geared for the first time,;MKII with 2 mags + fully loaded repeater/mass ammo/2 cans of bacon/2 full water bottles/2 epinephrine 2 blood bags chlorine tabs codeine and 4 antibiotics as well as more, literally full capacity even had a stab vest. Just past Dobroe sign before I got to town I get attacked by 1 Zombie, then 1 more, then I hear screams and 4 more come from I estimate 200 to maybe 400 meters away I know it was far over a hill, I had to pull a gun out for them but got them down and by this point I know something isn't right , it didn't make sense how they aggroed from over a knoll. Not 5 seconds later I see another group approaching me from the exact same direction just as far away, I killed 2 with my last bullets and tried to fight the rest with my bat. I must have killed 2 more with the bat, but maybe not considering the hit detection was not registering properly, the game seemingly determined to kill me; I died with 7 zombies left on me and probably more in pursuit. To analyze, it was night and I had a yellow glowstick on my pack, however its not logical that the glowstick attracted 14-18 zombies, all but 2 were from a ridiculous distance; to further support that I played for 4 hours, at least, before I died and survived an entire night with a red glowstick without even 2 zombies on me at one time, I encountered more zombies every day than I did that night with a red glowstick. I don't know how the game works, potentially this could be normal, however I have roamed around many nights in towns and rural areas, with nothing even close to this happening. My theory is a GM or cheater targeted me out of nowhere and spawned the zombies sequentially. I was in a starting zone and randomly was faced with progressively growing waves of zombies until I had essentially no chance (Can't say for sure as the zombies were connecting every strike and my hits wouldn't register, which seems unfairly biased against me.) I couldn't escape because they have infinite stamina, used all available ammo, there is no way to quick heal, my bat headshots weren't registering, I've never had zombie encounters even close to as futile and nothing I've seen in game or in videos allows me to rationalize this as possible normal game function. I would appreciate a response from someone at BI that can, hopefully with certainty, say what this was; my theories: a bug with yellow glowsticks at night (Maybe unique to that section of map) that causes highly exaggerated aggro range maybe even something more complex, a moderator/GM sabotaging me (Which isn't rational but can't expect what edgy kids will do to get a kick,) a cheater that got mad I stole his loot (Seeming likely the more I consider it,) or is this normal and I unluckily had an unwinnable encounter in tier 1 areas with significant gear? If there's another cause I'm not considering feel free to add to the thread. If it's intended and people have had as ridiculous experiences then I will just have to play safe and never at night without being end game geared. Though this is monotonous I want to reiterate I'm confident this wasn't intended; specifically because I spent a whole night roaming today with a glowstick, it was a tier 1 area encounter that required an automatic weapon with likely a spare mag, I've never seen zombies aggro from so far away even at night and I haven't seen so many zombies in range to tether aggro; I feel that they spawned suddenly and aggroed on me immediately. I respectfully request a response on what happened from a BI member. **bold text** I just considered it could be the red glowstick that is bugged and isn't properly attracting zombies. **bold text**If it was a bug that is understandable and I hope you'll be honest, if its normal game function then please elaborate how its productive or even enjoyable. Five hours spent just to culminate in an unavoidable, from the first zombie, fatal encounter.
