1. Have an item with empty slots in your inventory (ammo box, clothes...)
2. Possibly must have a full inventory, can't replicate right now.
3. Pick something up from the ground.
4. Usually, when your inventory is full, you can't pick up the item. Now, the item seemingly disappears.
5. Check your slotted items in your inventory, should be somewhere there.
