Load attached mission. Get in the Littlebird. Get forcefully dismounted. Get in the Littlebird. Wait for the MH-9 to be called to medically support wounded soldier somewhere on Stratis. Observe through numerous plays that the pilot has trouble finding a level landing spot LARGE enough for the LITTLEbird to land near the wounded soldier.
(It helps to double-click on the map after the Grid coordinates are called at, in order to help you find the wounded soldier.)
Numerous plays of this mission will also reveal other issues that I will not bother to report, because they are not easily reproduceable. I will however list them:
-- On the rare occasion that a "HEAL THAT SOLDIER" command is given, the wounded soldier did not appear to have a box drawn around him to aid the medic in finding him.
-- Pilot will command to dismount when the helo is still high in the air. Passengers will respond "Negative". Pilot will keep issuing the command.
-- Pilot will often hover the helo in the air and not move to find a suitable landing place when stuck in the above communication loop.
-- Pilots will too often prefer to be dismounted.
-- If a SUPPORT mission is canceled for whatever reason, this should be announced by the commanding unit.
-- Map location of the wounded soldier should be updated automatically when the Grid coordinates are called off.
-- If a non-pilot is made the commanding officer, he gets in the pilot seat, even though there is a pilot on the team. Pilot should take priority and accept direction from the commanding officer as a "back-seat driver".
The intent of the attached mission is to create a fully-dynamic Medevac sort of mission, where a Medic player is shuttled to wounded soldiers, sometimes in "hairy" Landing Zones. This was possible in Operation Flashpoint: Elite (it was one of the few ways to create a fully dynamic mission, because OFP:Elite did not have randomness sliders). It was broken in Armed Assault and possibly ArmA 2, partly because a soldier's foot would hang up on Blackhawk landing gear and partly because the A.I. did not seem to reset for the next SUPPORT mission.
