Did you find a solution to this yet? I'm experiencing the same issue for a few players that crash the server upon joining

Experiencing the same, this only happens with the custom character of 1 certain player though. Using a random character when respawning does not lead to a crash. We have a serious issue with this as it can and will be abused for duping.
