I have encountered this problem in the military base near Veresnik in one of the corner metal towers. After selecting "climb down" my character just jumped off the tower and died.

Well if the night is dark and adjusting the gamma doesn't help then it hardly seems like a bug to me - more like a resolved exploit. Downvoting.
