This has happened to me a few times as well. You can hear the zombie and it attacks you but is invisible.

This has happened to my team mates several times. There are many Youtube videos showing the same. On teamspeak, the person says, I am unconscious but the character either stands there or continues to run forward, gets put back to the start position, runs forward and the process continues on and on
