@cevune
Yeah you are right 100%. What I'm just so messed up from is that when Bohemia make a feature, they will make it so it is forced by difficulty settings.

From my POV, they can add whatever sliders, bars, notifieres, helpers whatever, but they will be so stupid to make them "Difficulty Settings" Depending.

Join a Server, and your own custom Settings will become obsolete - if the Server forces you Recruit Mode, you cant make it harder by turning of 3rd Person, clock, Hud info, and so on.

Look at http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=2844
for a Suggestion to let us define WHAT we want to see.

THATS why I'd be careful and why I'm so hostile to things like this, because Bohemia dont put enough thinking into certain things, sometimes - in the end, we may end up with a pink symbol which takes up half the screen, showing us a dancing animated soldier who shakes his hips to the harlem shake to indicate that we are just idling around...

We as users must be CAREFUL to not make Bohemia spoil the game.

Because, firstly, the Arma Series it made for PRO players and not beginners, most definetly.

Beginners can play it on few Servers, but on most Servers, they will end up being owned 24/7, and only start TK'ing (seen that before) - for Players, Arma is just a huge Sandbox, but it needs to stay a realistic Sandbox.

Good seeing Dresh - but these people NEED a stance indicator, because it is too hard for them, LOL.

This game is a War-Simulator and not a FPS like COD and BF3, so every little bit of information is making it less realistic.

I'd downvote this 1 million time for a simple reason:
When Bohemia would put the feature in, it would not be switchable, and be there constantly, or it would be bound to the Serverside Difficulty settings.

Because Bohemia are, sorry to say it, lazy. Yes, they are - I'm dealing with them since OFP1 and ARMA1, and they are slow to even change ANYTHING major, let alone change and add "minor" things like Bipod/Weapon resting or Recoil, or HUD Options.

PLUS, they seem to have a hard time changing their engine - all the Menus, Options and Settings are 100% as they were in OFP1 from 2001 - only the colors and looks have changed, but the Frame itself is getting so old, and un-handy.

So Bohemia, once again - MAKE THE HUD OPTIONS FREE TO CHANGE.
And dont put them under "Difficulty Settings", coz you guys know (damn you, LISTEN TO ME, I know best!) that they are overriden by the Server you play on and its difficulty settings.

@Kid: not true - I always know which stance I am in, and I rarely use 3rd person - I just remember which buttons I pressed, and if I enabled "slow pace" or not.

People just need to practice more before immediately complaining that they MUST HAVE.

Yeah, IF it is there, OPTIONAL.

I'm a No-Hud Person, and every little bit of too much info distracts me from my "clean", "realistic" gameplay - I like having no info on anything at all.

Sadly, many things are server-side restricted (like "Constant Waypoint info" and "Constant Extended Hud"), which bothers me a lot.

Helperman added a comment to T58752: [Alpha] Can't steal uniform/disguise.

I partially agree - it may be good, but I've seen app. 1000 teamkills in 1 hour of gameplay, from people not checking uniforms, or claiming others put different uniforms on.

Change it, but make it dependend on e.g. the Unit you steal from has detected you, or you killed it undetected - if you havent been seen and shot at, you can steal the units uniform.

Helperman added a comment to T58568: AI can see and shoot right through objects that completely obscure them.

What do I read here?
They STILL havent fixed the AI being able to do superhuman tasks?!

Outrageous! :)

Just being sarcastic, was it all that suprising?
Will it be fixed in the Release Candidate?
Yes you (or some ofyou) may say! Bohemia may say ... (nothing, as they always do). I say NO, too much work for them!

But 1000 kudos for reporting this, but its a naff effort.

Helperman added a comment to T58549: Weapons in scuba mission are performing wierd.

I tried a "diver only approach" in an Insurgency map earlier and encountered:

1.) Underwater, "Normal Ammo" takes a whole magazine to kill the enemy, if at all
2.) " As above ", "Dual Purpose Ammo" takes 2-3 headshots or 5-6 solid body hits to kill the enemy.

MAX range in both cases seems to be 50m or less.
