BI, you can just cheat, I assume one of the reasons is so that inside vehicles like tanks which have an inhouse loading system and it would require a lot of animations. Cheat just have the driver seperated from the gunner, vice versa for all the crew just so you would not have to model it all. As long as the driver has a 3d cockpit and the passengers in an APC have a 3d interior to look around in I am happy.

THE DEVS HAVE ALREADY SAID: That their will be no 3d interiors for armored vehicles for Driver and Gunner positions. It would most likely take every single persons vote to convince them.

I agree with NodUnit, It is not necessarily balancing at all but the fact that it makes the game too easy and there would be no challenge, unfortunately this is one of the only posts I have downvoted but I would say leave this up to a mod. There needs to be some challenges to this game so a skill can be gained I.E. eyesight.

After all BIS, I assume the whole point of interchangeable clothing is for character looks and uniqueness. With this interchangable camo feature working just like weapon modifications on weapons and do the same for clothes but you could also do simple scripts or patterns to choose with spawned vehicles in the editor.

Also another good point would be that on the FN2000 or Mk20 it is got (camo) on it possibly meaning that there will be another variant so again it ties in with this and the ability to camo and dye stuff.

Yes definitely, I meant it to work like a mod available for fallout which added kevlar, etc. You could get different dyes as an item and when you use them in simply swaps textures so just make a crate of all the camos and then make it take like 20 secs to swap it.

Yeah me and my group used the ACE MAP TOOLS a hell of a lot to make intense tactical plans to execute a mission and I swear we were better with the detailed drawing of pens for routes, etc.

@fragmachine has a point, it could simply just be a new texture overlay added to roads or the general map when it rains to make it look more muddy and the tires could just sink into the floor and then driving on different surfaces would mean that you would just loose more fuel or stamina if the other idea cannot be done. As long as we can roughly simulate it then it is fine but yes I would love to see a SpinTires kind of mud.

As I said, I just honestly put up my opinion. It is not an issue I just reckon that it should be like the real (now futuristic) actual helicopter but even if that idea is out the window the whole precision mounting/dismounting is still one of the things on there that would be nice.

It is completely dependent on the type of moon and if it is pitch black it is either a bug, your monitor has low brightness or the game does.

I agree with @Catnaps, make three separate maps just in case people make a mission entirely based on one of the islands just to get a little extra less processing taking up. But yes this idea is fantastic and I really hope it comes to reality.

This seems like a great idea and if this was implemented that could mean a easy way to animate the character drawing mags out of pouches! It could just detect a pouch with say a magazine and all vests could have a preset animation for each pouch!

Why are a lot of you saying no to this? It is a realistic feature and they could possibly have a anti bunnyhop thing to it? It would increase the games realism and allow us to cross and use terrain that was never available like climbing onto roofs, etc.

It could still use some work, for example the picture now linked above shows that when I place a H-barrier against a wall already on the map it still does not link up because the icon in the editor is not accurate.

If you think of this feature really it is not that hard to do? All you have to do is make it like Shacktac Littlebird Enhancements and make it so when you press a key it brings your weapon up and depending on if you are in the front right seat of the car that could make it so you can only turn in a 45 degree area BUT PLEASE MAKE IT SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ALWAYS HAVE YOUR GUN UP!

As far as I know, pretty much no shots are actually registering and I can prove this by the fact that I have seen 4 rounds hit an Opfor soldiers head for close range and they did not die.

Unless these posts on the tracker are bugs BI pretty much confirmed that there is no point posting requests like these, all the most important and highly voted have not even had a version of implementation but Wasteland players who wanted hidden hud for streaming got what they asked for.

Yes BI are effectively (and this is something very risky but oh well) saying "We do not need the ARMA series we will just incorporate most of the features requested since OFP days and dump them in DayZ!" Before any of you start writing replies to this if you do just realize these two things, 1st: BI keep pulling up the excuse of the lack of manpower making it so many features can not be put in, why? Because an already small company is working on 3 games at once now. 2nd: They keep saying they have fixed many issues but have not incorporated any of the highest rated features on the Feedback Tracker, even the ones reported on the first few weeks of the launch of this site.

I really do love BI and I am a loyal supporter but they are dangerously close (I think) to loosing a lot of if not all of the reputation from their long beloved ARMA fans. I would happily wait another year for the release just if they added the main features asked. I also understand that they work hard but you would not have to work as hard if you just concentrated on one game. After all a Games Company shouldn't be entirely about the money which seems to become the most common thing with most of them nowadays, BI do not give in I beg of you!

There should also be some sound effects for when they hit the floor like a flood and then a sound of his webbing/equipment so for the Foley FX you could just rustle some karabiners in bags or something just for a more satisfying sound.

I'd prefer it if you had to equip it and have the same thing as BF2 : PR, LMB does the hardest throw, Holding RMB for a certain amount of time gives a certain level of power to the throw. So if you tapped RMB it would drop it just in front of you so you could drop a grenade out of a window or balcony.

Sold proof that ARMA is dying, The Devs feel it is important to put in a HUD feature so streamers can be safe obviously for Wasteland but do not incorporate features REAL ARMA players have wanted since OFP. Seriously BI come on get with it I love you and all but realize that DayZ pretty much ruined ARMA and Wasteland will be next.

@Kalle82 that is not really the point, It should not have to be added by ACE because it means less work for the ACE team who can make more stuff. It really just should be in by default.
