this just happened to me as well as far as i was aware my character was safe and sound when i last played this game just come on today to find hes died for no reason at all

The M4A1 can have a detachable carry handle on it. It has picitinny rail on top so you can put anything you want on it. The older M4 which had 3 round burst instead of full auto was issued with an detachable carry handle as standard. And it would not make it an m16. The m16 has a rifle length gas system, A2 stock and a 21 inch barrel vs the M4s carbine length gas system, carbine length buffer tube and a 14.5 inch barrel. The M4 has an effective range of 200-400m and a muzzle velocity of 2800-2950 fps VS the M16s effective range of 400-600m and a muzzle velocity of 3100-3300 fps. Dont even get me started on how the difference in barrel length effects bullet drop, down range energy and how the bullet yaws and fragments in flesh lol.

It also laggs really bad in towns...its better when you walk out of the town...but thats not the point..you have 2 go into town to get some stiff but you end up dead cause of lag and zombie runs up out of no where on lag and you cant aim right

I can honestly agree with you. I got on and two of my tents were gone out of the three. It’s either someone found BOTH tents, or whatever they did made my tents and everything in them disappear.

Dude me too! Had a regular tent, car tent and tons of buried bags on server 4140....took us a week to loot up then logged in today and bam all gone!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!! I'm not going to waste my time preparing to fuck shit up and get a car going and the same day I have all the car parts everything is gone!!!!!! Guns ammo food like everything just vanished! I want retribution of some sort cause wasting my time is bullshit.

Honestly this game shouldn’t even be in the testing or beta stage. Way too many bugs to report. The whole game is one huge bug.

The devs have been saying for months that persistence is broken so build at your own risk. They are working on fixing it.

Thats why i just hide stashes all around. Building bases is pointless right now. It puts a giant target on you loot. You are pretty much just giving your stuff away.

it's because the persistence issues on Xbox still haven't been patched, but the recent patch released a couple days ago on PC DayZ's experimental branch has patched persistence problems so all they need to do is port the update to Xbox.

Not very fun if you loot for a couple days and lose a lot of items.

This seems to be fixed, I have been able to loot things from these lockers for some time.

Duct tape is supposed to be a 1 use item

Or just lock the character to the server like how it currently is on PC?

might've been a persistence problem, since on Xbox the persistence issue with base items such as tents, barrels, stashes, walls, gates, and lookout towers all despawning randomly, most of the time during a server restart.

Recently I was also having the issue where party chat blocks out proximity chat in game like it used to when DayZ Xbox launched on August 29th 2018, I can hear other people talk but they can't hear me despite having the push to talk button held down.

I still can't even speak in the game if i'm in a party chat with a friend, which I thought was a patched glitch a long time ago but I somehow am having it now.

They said it's already a planned feature once they figure out how to implement it correctly without messing up the entire game, they said their current plan for a proper implementation of M/KB support is creating separate servers for M/KB players so they'll be separate from controller players which I hope to god they do because M/KB players being combined with controller players would ruin the game due to unfair advantage.

At the moment it's likely to despawn, but it's random so it might or it might not. I'd say do not take the time for base building as it takes hours or even days to finish building just for it all to be likely wiped due to the persistence issues.

Can confirm. Battery charger ate my car battery alive. Battery CANNOT be removed from charger via ‘to hands,’ ‘to inventory,’ nor dropped from the charger. Also tried shooting the charger to ruined (out of frustration) and still couldn’t removed.
