Game won't load, instantly greets me with the message "Arma 3 has stopped working"
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I bought the game on the 8th of April, but haven't been able to play for a single minute. I thought maybe the beta would fix this issue but apparently not. Trying to launch the game from steam gives me the message that arma 3 has stopped working, yes, I tried -nosplash and -nobenchmark, the dev build doesn't work and verifying the cache doesn't do anything. When I try to launch the game manually from the game folder I get an error saying it can't find an access point from procedure QueryDisplayConfig in USER32.dll. {F20254}

There is no arma 3 file in AppData/local, probably because the game hasn't succesfully launched yet.

Yes, it means, that some software blocks start of Arma 3. Which antivirus software do you use? Zone Alarm?

Can you try kill all unnecessary applications before start Arma III? We need find what blocks start of Arma 3 on your pc. Thank you.
