World of Warcraft Classic has announced the arrival of Phase 6 in its Season of Discovery, introducing the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort, new raid instances, and the Nightmare Grove instance. The Phase 6 content update for WoW Classic’s Season of Discovery is scheduled to go live on November 21, but players can begin the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline as early as November 12.

The previous phase, which launched on September 26, brought players revamped versions of Blackwing Lair and Zul’Gurub, along with a new Crystal Vale raid featuring Prince Thunderaan. With Phase 6, players will see another major installment of endgame content in WoW Classic’s Season of Discovery.

Phase 6 brings back the iconic Ahn’Qiraj War Effort, followed shortly by the Temple and Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj raid instances. Additionally, the Nightmare Grove instance will open, allowing players to take on all four Dragons of Nightmare in consecutive raids through the Emerald Dream portals across Azeroth.

Key Dates for WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 6:

November 12: Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline unlocks.
November 21: Ahn’Qiraj War Effort kicks off at 1:00 pm PST.
November 29: War Effort ends.
December 4: Begins the 48-hour war against Anubisath, Silithid, and Qiraji forces.
December 6: Temple of Ahn’Qiraj, Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj, and Nightmare Grove become available.

Completing the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest during the December 4-6 conflict period will reward players with the Black Qiraji Battle Tank, one of the rarest mounts in WoW.

The Ahn’Qiraj War Effort is a standout event in WoW history, remembered for uniting Alliance and Horde players against a common foe and heralding the defeat of WoW’s first Old God. After Ahn’Qiraj, only Naxxramas will remain as the final vanilla WoW raid to be added to the Season of Discovery. However, Blizzard has hinted at a "larger than life" update in the works, suggesting that Phase 7 could bring even more surprises for WoW Classic fans.
