Upon downloading the game, I realized that my microphone was not working. Thinking this was an issue on my part, I ran through the usual troubleshooting steps only to realize none of them worked. I went online to see if there was another way to fix it, and I found some solutions that also did not work. I also found that many other players have experienced/are still experiencing this issue.
The farthest back reference to this I have seen is 3 years ago, and according to them they have simply just accepted that they are one of the unfortunate few who have to deal with this, having no way to fix it.
I don’t know if there is something I haven’t tried, but here is a list of the fixes I have used at the recommendation of others who’ve experienced this in the past.

• unplugging my microphone and plugging it back in
• restarting my Xbox
• clearing my alternate MAC address
• joining a party, loading up the game and switching from party to game chat repeatedly
• joining a party, loading up the game, leaving the party, restarting the game
• unplugging my microphone, turning off my controller, turning the controller back on and re-plugging in my microphone
• throwing my controller at the wall in frustration
• switching my Xbox account back and forth
• deleting the game and reinstalling it
• joining a party while in game, and leaving the party

I have been playing the game without a microphone for about a week now, but not having the ability to talk to others is frustrating, and I feel that I am missing an important part of this game, and being unable to play and experience this game to the fullest.

Any help with this issue is appreciated, I hope that soon there is a patch that fixes this issue, but seeing that it is 3 or more years old at this point is discouraging.
