Came back to play DayZ after my best pal passed and trying to start back out as a group about everything we have found in a 3 day journey is just badly damaged which makes it much more harder to endure the fresh spawn phase of the game; finding the bare minimum of survival resources is hard when you can only use your knife once before it is ruined - considering having the items spawn at a lowest durability of damaged would suffice.
