After cutting down a bush for a long stick the character is not able to take anything in his hands anymore. Also dropping or moving things in inventory doesn't work anymore. Relog to server fixes bug temporarily until the next time a bush is cut down. Then the bug happens again.
(I read online that this also happens with firewood but I haven't tried yet)
