While in inventory the cursor doesn't go immediately from the equipment down to the first armor slot requiring multiple clicks to do so.
I've noticed the invisible cursor slots occur when you have a weapon attached to your shoulder slots in the equipment. The cursor is scrolling through the attachments of the weapon even if the weapon container is closed or open. This makes it appear as if you're scrolling through non-existent slots in order to access armor inventory.
