When playing DayZ on ps4 with a mouse and keyboard bullets don't register when shot from weapon when the ammo is loaded holding the R key. I have found that when I manually reload the bullet from the inventory screen and not from holding the R key the bullets tend to register when shot. I have come across this so far with the SG5K, CR527 and the KA74.
