I have been streaming DayZ on Xbox for years now. All of a sudden over the last few months I have started being stream sniped by people on the same server as me. They are going on the server list and then just searching names into twitch etc. The other day I got stream sniped and the kids found our base from it, they came to it when they knew I'd gone offline and I happened to log back on 30 minutes later for something. I then got sprayed down by a 5 man whilst I was alone and they killed me and raided the base, I did take one of them with me though. I then received an xbox message from one of them seconds after I died saying
Dear ELiXrLH,
Please hold this L whilst I hold your VSD and your tents.
Your's sincerely,
The Bundi Boys🟠
If you kill someone and raid there base you don't know who it is as it could be anyone on the server. I was just live half an hour before and the guy that messaged me was on my viewer list on Twitch. Clearly stream sniping me to find my base. I don't show what server I'm logging onto when I'm logging in and I don't ever say the server name/number, I always, always make sure I don't show it. It's forcing me to have to create a separate Xbox account just to play DayZ on so I don't get stream sniped as it's devastating to put so many hours into a base and a player to then lose everything because people are stream sniping. Obviously if you lose everything through a fair and square gunfight then that's cool, that's what the game is about but I shouldn't be losing everything because people can see my name on the server list and watch where I'm building and what I'm doing because I stream. Most games have like a streamer mode nowadays to stop this happening to streamers. I shouldn't have to basically create an alternate xbox account like I am having to.
