On DayZ experimental 1.13 zombies will lunge towards you and will not be close enough to hit you but still do. Their lunges go farther than they do themselves. This leads to you running faster than the zombies but them still hitting you. You can’t outrun zombies anymore..

Let a zombie chase you, preferably military. It will hit you while running away and them not being near you.
