Hi not sure where feature requests are asked for but figured here would probably be the best bet.
I think the inventory management system for Day Z is ok, but it could do with some tweaks. For example when you are in a small area surrounded by containers, fence walls, clothing items etc. Managing the long list of containers on the left and right becomes a challenge.
I love the fact that you can close and open containers, it's great and makes things more managable but; I wish there were a button that could close all containers on either the left or the right side of the inventory management screen at once, making inventory management that much more easier rather than having to close all non essential containers manually one button press at a time.
Additionally I think you should be able to see the available and used inventory units at a glance in the vicinity icon. Rather than on the tab itself. For example a crate shows 50 spaces, if you were to pick it up and put it within your inventory, but what if it showed 50/43 slots used as well? At least this way you could find out which is which from memory of what's in them. For example I would remember a tyre is 36 slots so if a crate read 50/36 I would know my tyre is in that crate.
When you're looking at a carpet of crates you have no idea which is which. Even some kind of labeling or paints would be a simple solution, for example, I would paint my medical crate blue. Or my ammo crate red etc. Paints could be found in the world or made from flowers? Maybe black pain could be made from campfire soot or something? Just a thought.
I'd also like to see the addition of fence mounted shelves/ improvised gun racks or maybe just more base furniture in general. What if you could find rugs out in the world and hang them on the interior walls to increase base insulation? Making it warmer?
Just a few thoughts.
Apologies if there is a better place for feature requests. Let me know and I'll move my posting.
