After more than 100 days of hours played, honestly, DAYZ is losing its grace. For those who like to build a base, like me, the game has lost its meaning. I have already made more than 20 types of bases, some with more than 10 closed gates with numerical locks, in the most varied types of constructions and buildings, and nothing, exactly nothing is able to prevent enemy players from entering your base, looting your items in very few minutes.
Many friends have already given up making bases, others have given up the game, because we spend hours building, and when we're asleep, the Enemy comes and destroys everything. And I'm not talking about a poorly built base. I speak of well-built bases with several subsequent walls.
I imagine that 80% of the DAYZ community doesn't just look for PVP mode in the game, nor do I. If you only want PVP, surely the game chosen would not be DAYZ, as there are other excellent games, whose proposal is just that. Most seek the essence of the game which is
SURVIVAL and minimum condition to be able to SURVIVE. In this context, the construction of the bases and the feasibility of their maintenance are included. It is sad to spend days building, and when you sleep, the enemy comes who takes advantage of your absence and plunders everything.
It is necessary to develop methods that facilitate the protection of the bases and, at the same time, avoid their destruction.
I suggest deactivating damage to buildings at night, taking as a reference the local time the server is staying, for example, from 00:00 AM to 08:00 AM.
Other suggestions would be to increase the resistance of the walls, as well as, to implement systems of traps that provide the self-defense of the base, when its owner is absent. The bases need not be impossible to invade, just difficult, which would require even more skills from players to invade.
