I haven’t been able to use game chat for almost a month now. I can hear other players but they can’t hear me. Yes I’m holding down dpad. No my mic is not muted. Yes I’ve tried cleaning my MAC address in advanced network settings, this did not help. I also tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. I’ve tried different mics. I made sure my bay type was open. I’ve hard reset my Xbox, nothing seems to solve this problem. My mic works fine in party chat as well as every other game I play. For some reason it will not work in day z. There’s not even an icon for voip next to my name on the online list. Every other person has one but me. It really sucks running into players or playing with my friends and being able to hear everything when no one can hear me. I’ve tried everything and cannot solve the problem.

Do you have parrental lock engaged on the console by any chance? Is your microphone connected through a dongle or directly to the controller? And what kind of microphone are you using?

I do not have any parental locks and my account is the only one on the Xbox. My mic plugs directly into my controller, no dongle at all. The mic is a razer kraken ultimate headset, however I tried borrowing a buddy of mines after flow headset and that did not work either. I have been searching everywhere trying to find a solution and have come up short. Oddly enough, I was playing the game today and my mic worked for a period of time and then eventually cut out again and the voip icon disappeared from the online list. I have been playing this game for over a year now and game chat always worked fine up until about a month ago it stopped and like I said my headset works fine in party chat as well as any other multiplayer game chat it seems to be just day z.
