To me and at least one of my other friends, there has been a reoccurring glitch where upon attempting to join an official server the game glitches and does not insert the person into the game and locks the game up preventing further action such as returning to the menu screen, leaving one trapped in the server browser. No idea how to replicate, happened to me once where I got off for several hours and returned online to it working, but is a constant issue for my friend.

Going through the same thing at the moment and nothing I do works, it damn near just luck if it works

The best way to get it to work I think is to 1. Restart your Xbox, or 2. start Dayz with a different profile and switch back in the main menu, Or 3. start any other game in your Library and wait till it loads then switch back to Dayz and try again, sorry that you, your friend and I are going through this man it sucks
