At any time and always, if you have an item in your hands that can be stored on your shoulder: item in hands press Y to equip, your "cursor" (idk what to call in in the xbox inventory) highlights the item you just moved to your shoulder. now when you try to scroll down to your inventory you can only access your equipped items section of the inventory and you have to close the inventory and reopen it to scroll down to your inventory.
