I Have found that the contents of a Cooking Pot are deleted on a re-log, the water level remains the same but any items stored inside a cooking pot disappear. I have tested & found that it occurs 100% of the time.
Fairly big & nasty bug so figured I'd let you know before its pushed to stable & console.

Fill cooking pots internal inventory, log out, log back in & the contents will be gone.
