Your hands crashes and you are unable to drop, equip, manage your inventory, pick up items or anything at all.
If you swap with the quick menu the things you have in your hands for a weapon, the animation turns to melee, so you are unable to aim down sights, and shootings makes your character walk toward like if you punched but you still see the weapon in your hands, you cannot interact with anything and wen you log off and relog you loose almost all your loot and the things that are on the floor gets unable to be interacted with almost at all, sometimes you an see them others you don't see it at all but you can see them on the proximity window.
