Illumination rendering/ray tracing flawed at distances

Description

At medium to large distances, the ray tracing/illumination rendering gets too coarse, resulting in very compromising night time situations: even if no light from your fire/chemligh/gas lamp is visible outside of your hideout at shorter distances, the whole area and ground around your position is illuminated when looking from 100m to 1000m distance (objects apparently don't obstruct the light calculation at greater distances anymore). The use of night vision goggles multiplies the severity of this issue by far and renders low tech survivors helpless to advanced players!

Steps To Reproduce

Set up a fire in a house or shed and move away from the hideout while observing the drastic spread of the illumination radius (best effect with night vision goggles).
