Hey there. I'm logging this on behalf of my son. His character is established, not a new spawn. He logged out one day, logged back in the next to play, did so for about 90 minutes and logged out in a new location. When he next logged in, his character was back at the location he was the day or so prior as if he had not moved at all. This is now constant. It does not matter how long or how far he travels, he can log out kms away and when coming back in, constantly finds himself back at this one location. He has rebooted his xbox and cleared the cache. The latest update did not fix it. Can you assist?

Probably carrying duped items two of which are identical, and on xbox this causes a 're-roll' where your character will always revert to the last background save after carrying both items. Tell him to test this through placing all his items into a storage container and then proceeding to play for a few minutes, log out and then in and see if the background saves resume as normal. If this fixes the issue he can retunr to his stored items and pick up one of everything being attentive to not pick up any two items which are the same as they are possibly products of duping. To clarify he can carry one of the duped items not both at the same time unless he wishes to continue duping items.
If he isnt carrying anything identical produced from a dupe then there maybe another issue at play that im not aware of. Hope this helps.

Thanks Wysheathy. He doesn't dupe nor was he carrying duped items. Anyhow, he followed the advice, stripped off everything, shoved it in a barrel, logged out, logged back in and everything in the barrel disappeared. So he ended up in his underwear with nothing else. I had to laugh. Put it down to an unexplained glitch with his character. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Cheers!
