There are instances where I will be running or even just walking and suddenly will bleed out from an unknown source. No zombies were near me at the time. I would patch up the bleed effect with a rag or bandage and assume I was ok. About 30 seconds later I would bleed out again. This has happened on more than one occasion while playing. The only way I've known to fix it was to completely exit the game and then go back in.
