If you kill another survivor you sometimes cant pick up items from his/her inventory and sometimes if you pick up their gun it bugs out were you cant remove the mag or its showing there's a mag in the gun but there's not.

Make sure the gun/item isn't ruined.
Try :
-Take Clothing with the Item into your hand and drop it a few feet away.
- Press Triangle to Split stackable items.
- Hold Square to drop the items into your vicinity section.
