Currently there is no point in having a base. Players can Ghost into your base (leave the server that contains the base and join another, gain access to the area inaccessible on the server the base is located and join back into the server with the base and take all things of value) This is very aggravating for players that play the game correctly and put in many hours and taking time to build and survive without cheating.
