Earlier after installing the newest update, I logged on to play a bit. I joined a server and it loaded in perfectly. I played for about 35-40min and a server messaged popped up saying the server was going to reset in 5 minutes. Instead of waiting for the reset (and potentially having my character rolled back a few minutes), I decided to just quit and join a new server. I went to the menu, clicked quit and let the timer countdown. I was sent back to the main menu and when I tried to join a new server I was locked. This happened to me months ago, but I read in a community forum that you just have to wait an hour and it will be fixed. That worked before. But now it's been over 5 hours and I'm still completely locked out. I've even reinstalled the game and deleted the saved game data. Still locked out. Please help.

Same, going on 4 hours for me.... probably just going to get a refund for the game tomorrow but I’ll keep trying atm even though my whole afternoon has been screwed because of this
Well I kinda figured I wouldn't get a response from them tonight. Since they're based in a whole different timezone.
PapaJug on Xbox been locked out for a whole day now I'm mad take this character lock out the game it's a horrible system to punish your players for getting kicked out your server or just trying to find a server to call home this is dumb and if you wanted to fix server hoping you would make the loot alot better in each server and you would make each new server you go to has there own person if this continues me and alot of people I know will not be playing day anymore
A lot of people are encountering this, it isn't some punishment, it's just happening when you exit/join a server. Not meant to stop anything. This happened with the last update, they are working on it to my knowledge.
Still locked out what the heck please do something I just wanna play take fix this please
So I even deleted my character threw my save data and I'm still character locked but its been saying character data check failed for the last two and a half days reset this please
