Additional Information

I wrote this message private to Peter Nespesny and he advised me to open this as Issue here.

Hello Peter, my name is Ludwig and I like to ask you something about dayz. The last beta worked with the Linux-Steam-Compatibility Tool Proton (Stable Version 3-7-8) in Offlinemode out of the box. (Just needed to hit the box "activate for all titles in library") BattleEye still fails to start in 1.0 and I know that it works on Linux for Ark Survival.... I already wrote a direct Mail to them but I did not even got a simple "No" response....

I am a Dayz-Fan (Favourite Game) since the Mod but had to quit playing because there is no way anymore to use Microsoft windoof (german:doof -> english: silly, dumb) for private use. There was a Linuxport discussion in 2014 I think and I am hoping for the best. :)

In case some find out that a small fix should do the job and you like to let someone (me) test this I would like to do that
