Item Equipped Bug - Game wont allow switching of items in hand

Description

Out of nowhere roughly 7pm (MST Arizona)

Both me and my partner became unable to switch the item in our hand. We tried multiple methods. Switching via the weapon wheel, switching directly from inventory.. and unfortunately dropping item in hand which results in the complete loss of the item dropped.

We proceeded to quit the game entirely, hard reset xboxs and router. Reloaded game. Made sure to join a different server and still had the same issue. The major issue with this is there is no way to eat or drink seeing as though the items we are stuck with is our rifles

Steps To Reproduce

Have not found any means of reproduction. Not sure what caused glitch.. only experienced glitch itself qnd discovered the fix

Found a fix... it's a way to bypass the item being stuck in your hand (maybe unless its food) (but my gun was bugged in my hand so this fix works like a charm)

  1. Take gun in equipment slot one and send to inventory
  2. Equip stuck gun in hands with X... and BOOM inventory works again and items can be switched between weapon wheel and inventory

Still would be nice to not have that happen especially in the instance of a fight with players or multiple zombies seeing as though the glitch doesnt allow for the switching of magazines.. putting bugged player at a major disadvantage having to rummage around in inventory during said engagement
