While aiming when prone, you cross hair becomes misaligned with The barrel of you gun. The way I found to correct this is to look directly down, press And hold LT and raise you gun to a level position

Lay prone and aim your weapon and look left or right then stand up and aim you gun, the cross hair will be misaligned
