On a lot if high population NL servers I've noticed that even whilst walking unencumbered that my character has the three downward hydration meter arrows as if sprinting. At first I assumed it was a game mechanic for midday sun but I've found it never occurs on lower populations servers no matter how long I play. Hope this report helps
