in the game main menu my rank showed -1
equiipment shows my real rank
this results in me not being able to play with the weapons i unlocked because game thinks im level -1
happend after joining other server
restarting game did fix it

This occurs when you are disconnected from the BI servers/databases. Not saying it is acceptable, but that is what is happening. As you have mentioned, a restart will fix it, along with sometimes simply going back to the main menu solves it for me.
