.62 poor performance
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

I have noticed a big fps drop with this new patch. I went from an avg of 150fps to 80fps, I used to run through the woods and get 180+fps sometimes even up to 240fps but now if it hits 100fps I am lucky. If I go into a house it will jump passed 200fps and as soon as I go out the door drops to 50fps before rebounding to 80fps. Talking to others they have said they tried everything and they are getting 10-20fps, I know a lot more things have been added but a GTX 1070FTW 6GB card should be gettinng better since I get 140fps at max setting in PUBG and that I used to get great fps until this patch.

Event Timeline

I did a little bit more looking into it and if I am at the character screen and change my terrain quality to very low the grass is almost gone and then very high has a lot of grass but then when I go in game and do this there is very little to no change, almost like the quality is locked. I am not sure if this is intended or a bug. I do have screen shots for examples.

Hello theclassifiedrebel and thank you for the report.
The performance drop is caused due to the new additions to the map and optimisations for the client performance for this updated map are currently not in place yet. The optimisations will be released in the upcoming major patches. As for the terrain quality, it is locked on the server side and this is the intended behaviour.

Geez

ok, I figured that was normal but just thought I would post it in-case it was not. Thank you very much for the feedback and I will continue to look for things.
