STATUS_STACK_OVERFLOW Game crash..
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

Hello!

I have bad experience with DayZ - game randomly crashing in randomly periods.
I have tried everything that I had found in the net. I reinstalled Windows, updated drivers, played with/without mods, played original/Livonia, added nocharmenu, on/off antialiasing, set different graphics options, toggled fullscreen/window mode, Installed game from Administrator user etc., changed RAM settings, I even disassemble my RAID0 to check if this maybe it...

Can I have fun from this game??? It's really annoying - because of crashes I lost a lot of characters...

Game is really interesting and I just want to play it....

Steps To Reproduce

Run the game - when have clean installation, I had played more than 2 hours without crashes. After first crash every next period before crash is shorter - up to few minutes. Sometimes I tried to delete DayZ folder from Documents, replace it with DayZ Experimental folder, but all this starts again...

Additional Information

I don't need advices like "took your RAM/CPU/SSD into another slot etc...". I have ran more than hour AIDA64 burn test - nothing crashes. I have ran Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra settings - nothing crashes.
Give me advices like "use DIRECTLY THIS app to check your RAM/CPU/SSD..."
I have paid money for you and I just want to proper use your software...

Thanks a lot!

Hello balinof.
Currently we are unable to determine the cause. It is possible that some of the game data could be corrupted. Would it be possible for you to run the game verification in Steam and make sure Steam cloud sync is disabled?
Regards,
Geez

Hello there! Still have issues with game. Now this is STATUS_STACK_OVERFLOW error.

Have tried to install DayZ Exp and move files into DayZ folder - still have crushes. No matter original server or with mods. Last time I walked from Chernogorsk to Tisy and lost my character because of the game crash - it was REALLY annoying.

Also passed RAM test - everything is fine.

@Geez, I still need support!

I also noticed that errors are occurring more and more frequently in time. If at first, after I reinstalled the game, I could play for several hours before the first error, then this interval was reduced and now it's about 10-15 minutes.

I ran a files verification on Steam, also disabled cloud synchronization... and played for 55 minutes before the STATUS_STACK_OVERFLOW error occurred.

Later I couldn't even play for 15 minutes. I didn't change anything in the Windows/Steam/Game options, but I updated BIOS to the latest version (0806 -> 1656).
After that I played for an 1:20 hour without any problems, only when I exit the game, I got the STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error.
BIOS update seems to have helped, but I'm going to do more testing.

The miracle did not happen - the game crashed after 1.5 hours of play with the STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error. I've attached the report. I want your ideas/suggestions, please{F3987592}

Ok, STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION after ~20 minutes

In this case I have played more than an hour without any crashes, but when I left the game I got a STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error. I have attached the report to this message.

0xC00000FD - STATUS_STACK_OVERFLOW after an hour... It's so f*g f****d up...
